Expansion joint / compensator
manufacturers require both reliable and predictable PTFE materials to
produce quality flue duct expansion systems. Our state-of-the-art PTFE
material technology and excellent customer service provide unrivaled support
for TCI customers. TCI’s diverse PTFE material technology can be
applied in practically every expansion joint project. Major applications
include flue gas desulphurization (FGD) and selective catalytic reduction
(SCR) plants. |

Removable insulation systems
require high performance materials to sustain the long term insulation
investment for the end user. Our complete line of PTFE and silicone materials,
both fiberglass-based and laminate-based, provides the insulation industry
with numerous choices for system engineering and design. Included in TCI’s
line is a 100% PTFE laminate, called LFP Crossfilm, which can be used
in any chemical environment without concern for corrosion. |

 |
Many food applications have
severe thermal, chemical, and release processing conditions. TCI’s
PTFE fiberglass composites and LFP CrossFilm laminates can be found in
applications including toasters, cooking grills, conveyor cooking machines,
baking ovens, and drying systems. |
|
 |
Because of PTFE’s excellent
properties, the material has been successfully used in a wide range of
conveyor belting applications. Requirements involving high temperatures,
corrosive chemicals, and/or aggressive release conditions are being met
today with both PTFE fiberglass composites and LFP CrossFilm laminates
produced by TCI. The belting services include food production, chemical
processing, plastic sealing, and fabric drying. |

The non-stick properties of
TCI’s PTFE films and PTFE coated fiberglass reinforcements enable
our materials to be used in numerous release applications. Some uses include
cooking pans, oven mats, urethane tray liners, composite mold liners,
hot bar sealers, and drum liners. |

Chlorine gas production can
be extremely corrosive for chemical processing equipment. As a result,
TCI’s all-PTFE LFP CrossFilm laminates are now being employed in
chlor-alkali facilities worldwide. Fabricated CrossFilm materials can
be found in mercury, diaphragm and membrane cell plants. The equipment
includes cell covers, anode seals, sidewall liners, foam gasket liners,
spray shields, and flexible ducting. |

Floating roof seal systems
are used in petroleum storage tanks to minimize vapor loss. TCI’s
flexible PTFE materials are critical to the performance of the system’s
primary and secondary containment seals. In addition to vapor seals, our
PTFE coated fiberglass composites and LFP CrossFilm laminates are fabricated
into guide pole covers, leg socks, aluminum support covers, chemical pipe
liners, and seal wipers. |
